(I'm
in the middle of my sister and mom)
Originally from
Lafayette, Louisiana, I grew up in quite a
few places. I am the youngest of four
kids. When I was seven, we began
touring the USA and ultimately ended up back
here. By ninth grade, I had attended
eleven schools in Louisiana, Colorado and
Florida. I wouldn't trade the
experiences and memories for the world. I
was lucky enough to get a volleyball scholarship
to University of Louisiana (go Ragin' Cajuns!)
and a degree in education.
I
met my husband, David in high school, but we led
different lives and met back up as single
parents in church. We have been married
since December of 2003, have been through a one
and a half year deployment to Iraq, two close
calls with cancer, and our two children are
growing like weeds.
One of my passions is
to travel. I've been to a few European
countries and would like to see many more
places. I currently teach middle school
science and get a lot of relief by painting my
graffiti-laden desks. I haven't drawn any
portraits since Hannah was a baby, and I hope to
start that again soon. I love quiet time
for reading with a cup of coffee and sometimes,
when I can't put my finger on it, I write
poetry. My poetry is pretty
heavy because it is my vent to get out of the
lows. God always finds me there, ...thank
goodness.
More
about me...
